Long-term Care COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control
In the Long-term Care COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control report, research analyzes 25 interviews with long-term care (LTC) and retirement homes stakeholders from across Canada, to:听
- identify barriers and facilitators to COVID-19 preparedness in these settings听
- identify needs and recommendations for COVID-19 preparedness in these settings听
- map relevant tools and resources from the that can be leveraged as support听
The research team asked interviewees to describe the factors that contributed to COVID-19 outbreaks, identify promising practices with the potential for short-term spread and scale, and provide suggestions on how to maintain essential non-COVID-19 care for older adults.听
