As LTC homes across the country are seeking ways to integrate person-centered care strategies in their pandemic response, we heard from four Brenda Strafford Foundation sites who used funding from the first iteration of the LTC+ program to implement projects aimed at improving the LTC experience for residents and care partners.
- Pavi Lally (Wentworth Manor) presented a project to revitalize an outdoor meeting area for safe and enjoyable visits between residents and families.
- Sherry Little (Tudor Manor) shared the story of the Pursuit of a Lifetime project which offers opportunities for residents to travel and have unique experiences, and also noted positive outcomes from the installation of new ABBY equipment.
- Nicole Baker (Cambridge Manor) discussed the implementation of a popular drum circle group for residents, and new peddling exercise equipment.
- Stephanie Riley (Clifton House) shared the Pursuit of a Lifetime initiative to offer shopping trips and other individualized experiences for residents, with a focus on thinking beyond basic needs to support a higher quality of life.
